Alejandro Sabella quits as Argentina coach following World Cup run.
One week after he said he was undecided about whether to remain as head coach of the national side, Alejandro Sabella has resigned from his post with the Argentine national side.
At a special ceremony in Buenos Aires to recognise his accomplishments leading Argentina to a World Cup final, Sabella had initially offered no hint on his future with the Albiceleste.
Sabella led his side to second place in the World Cup in Brazil, falling at the last hurdle with a 1-0 defeat to Germany in the final during extra time.
